Together with their liaison lecturer, Prof. Daniela Neri-Ultsch from the Universität Regensburg, a group of scholarship holders of the Hanns-Seidl-Stiftung visited the MGH to get some insights into the practice of historical source research.
The group of students, whose subject areas range widely from teachers studies to computer sciences, were first given an introductory presentation by the president of the MGH, Prof. Martina Hartmann, and a guided tour through the library and the stacks by Jasmin Dorfer from the MGH library staff. Then they had the chance to gain some first-hand experience of edition work at the MGH with an original manuscript, some early printed books (incunabula), and facsimiles of famous medieval codices.
