The conference, to be held in the Deutsche Akademie, Villa Massimo, Rome from March 17 to 19 2025, is dedicated to German medieval studies in Italy and the Vatican, focusing particularly on the base-level historical research underlying the editions and regesta published by the MGH, Repertorium Germanicum and Regesta Imperii. This tradition has its roots in the 19th and 20th centuries and lives on today in the projects of various academies and institutes.
